Pioneer Student Wins National Award

Kayleen H won the National Essay Contest for Rural Schools, in the Elementary Division in the spring of 2010! Last spring Mrs. Nys' classroom sent in essays to the National Contest. The essays were to talk about what makes rural schools unique and outstanding. The essay that Kayleen wrote was chosen as first place! She was awarded $250 from the National Rural Education Association and accepted her award in Branson, Missouri in mid October! We are so proud of you Kayleen!
