Barnes & Noble/Pioneer School Bookfair is Huge Success! |

Wow! Pioneer students, families, friends, and supporters…you all were utterly fantastic! We scheduled the Barnes & Noble/Pioneer School Bookfair hoping to raise a couple of hundred dollars, if we were lucky! We earned an impressive $456.76 at our bookfair! It was a wonderful day with great activities!
We had the snowflake activity with a story presentation while we cut loads of awesome snowflakes. The Barnes and Noble carpet looked as white as a winter wonderland by the time we were through with that activity. |

We had our recorder and harmonica rehearsal! It went so smoothly and the students all sounded so great! They looked positively impressive on the stage at Barnes and Noble. |

I was so pleased that Nicole Parrish, Brent Parrish, and Amy Koffler (Amy’s mom was there pitching in with all of us too!) volunteered (along with my two sons Michael and David) to promote our event all day with various activities. They walked up and down the front sidewalk with large billboard signs advertising our bookfair, they meandered through the bookstore with trays of candy canes and kisses to hand out, they spoke to the public and answered questions regarding our bookfair and they helped with all of the activities! They were very important to our success that day! |
Our last activity was a scavenger hunt created by Lori Niles the community relations manager at Barnes and Noble. She also provided $10 gift certificates for the winner in each division (we had a younger student scavenger hunt and an older student one as well). |

Of course having Mrs. Graff, Mrs. Masterson, as well as my friends Patty Johnson and Julie Heyneman there to help run things all day was another big boost to our success!
There were many children that day cutting snowflakes, making music, and scattering throughout the store on the scavenger hunt! I am very grateful for their help and organization!
