Thank you to the students and families of the 2nd graders. I think we have the homework issue under control. Homework is due the day after it is given.

1. Homework will be assigned nightly Monday through Thursday. Monday's HW is due on Tuesday. Tuesday's HW is due on Wed. and so on. On Friday the Homework Assignment sheet(Yellow) needs to be returned with a parent signature. This is mainly for my records, showing that you are aware of the homework and verifying the reading.
2. Homework will include reading nightly 10 to 15 minutes, practice of spelling words, writing sentences and/or a math sheet.
3. As your child hands in his/her homework they will receive a sticker or stamp in their homework folder. Once they fill up the homework chart in their folder, they will receive a reward from the treasure box.
4. All homework must be turned in by Friday morning to count as a grade.
5. If there is a problem in getting the work done (church night, sports, 4H, etc.) just send a note explaining the problem The student will then work on their assignments during morning recess.
