It's spring fever. That is what the name of it is. And when you've got it, you want - oh, you don't quite know what it is you do want, but it just fairly makes your heart ache, you want it so!

That quote explains my scattered thoughts and longings this time of the year. I want to be in my garden, yet I want to be out in the mountains, and even still I want to be just lazing on the deck listening to the birds and watching the bunnies under the trees. It is such a wonderfully fresh, sweet, and bright time of the year! It is, however, also a very busy time of the year with the frantic pace as we wrap up another year of learning progress.
April was chock full of events, activities, and school projects. We completed our shared Flat Stanley project in all the library classes and mailed Flat Randall (our visiting Flat Stanley kid) off to Nebraska! Good times were had by all the students and they were excited to mail their individual Flat Stanley kids and journal books describing our school, city, state, and the adventures shared with Flat Randall during his visit here.
I had such a wonderfully colorful and sparkly time at the carnival. I remember seeing face after little face plop in my chair awaiting a dash of 'paint magic' and sparkle jewels to re-invent themselves for a moment in time! What fun!
The carnival must have been the warm up for me and Mrs. Palmieri because two days later we brought our paints/jewels to Shelby's Fundraiser and provided even more children with the opportunity to re-invent themselves according to their imaginations! It was a whirlwind of color and kids!
My open house on the 25th was great! It was good to see so many parents wanting to support their students' academic progress over the summer! This is a win-win opportunity for all of us! Thank you so much for joining me!
May is going to go by in the proverbial 'blink of an eye' so let's work together to keep our students focused and working on their goals/objectives for this year. I know that working together we can finish the year on a positive high note!
Our last big AR Store of the year will be on Friday, May 18th so keep reading and keep testing! Bank all the points possible for our big end of the year 'blow out' sale!
Don't forget the annual BOX SOCIAL which will be held on Friday, May 18th from 5:30 to 7:30 or 8:00!
