• Money Project

• President's Day Activity
  We took part in a great activity with the kindergarteners to celebrate President's Day. Learn about it here: President's Day Activity


• Toys for Tots Angels!
  Mrs. Nys' sixth graders spent $250 on Toys for Tots". The girls have been fundraising the entire year for their 6th grade graduation and used part of the money for a donation for charity at Christmas time! :) The girls, their moms, and Mrs. Nys spent all the money at WalMart. • Island of the Blue Dolphins
  The fifth and sixth grade class finished reading Island of the Blue Dolphins. In the novel, Karana has to make a home using all Natural Resources. Our class, built models showing what her home may have looked like. Students could only use Natural Resources. Students were allowed to use yarn and a few small beads to help with their model. But, 95% of their final project was created with materials found on our Playground! See the result in these photos:

• Our first gallery has some great pictures of a project we did before Halloween with the kindergarten students. We helped them make candy necklaces. This was fun for the little ones and a great "teaching" experience for us. See our pictures here: Halloween Candy Necklace Project
