Welcome to our 2011-2012 Photo Gallery page. We will be doing many fun things and will have a lot of learning experiences to share with you this year.

• Money Project
  We had a great time helping the kindergarten students practice an important math skill. Check out our slide show for more:

• President's Day Activity
  We took part in a great activity with the kindergarteners to celebrate President's Day. Learn about it here: President's Day Activity


• Toys for Tots Angels!
  Mrs. Nys' sixth graders spent $250 on Toys for Tots". The girls have been fundraising the entire year for their 6th grade graduation and used part of the money for a donation for charity at Christmas time! :) The girls, their moms, and Mrs. Nys spent all the money at WalMart. • Island of the Blue Dolphins
  The fifth and sixth grade class finished reading Island of the Blue Dolphins. In the novel, Karana has to make a home using all Natural Resources. Our class, built models showing what her home may have looked like. Students could only use Natural Resources. Students were allowed to use yarn and a few small beads to help with their model. But, 95% of their final project was created with materials found on our Playground! See the result in these photos:

• Our first gallery has some great pictures of a project we did before Halloween with the kindergarten students. We helped them make candy necklaces. This was fun for the little ones and a great "teaching" experience for us. See our pictures here: Halloween Candy Necklace Project

Below you will find some of our photos from the 2009-10 school year.

• For three months in the spring, we listened to the kindergarten students read books and then helped them take AR tests. We have some fun pictures to share: Reading Buddies
  
• One of our favorite topics to study is "Wonders of the World". This project is done every other year, and all the students look forward to it. The results this year were awesome. Take a peek: 2010" Wonders of the World"
  
• Every spring the sixth grade students have and Easter Egg Hunt for the kindergarten students. It is always great fun. Before our camera "died", we got a few pictures> 2010 Easter Egg Hunt
  
• The first photos of the year that we would like to share are from the fun day we had on October 30th. A Web, a Challenge and Some Stickies>>
  
• March 22nd Pioneer school nurse Vicki Olson-Johnson did a nutrition class with our class. The students tried several new foods, and they got quite a buffet. The students even helped to prepare some of the foods. We hope you enjoy these photos from this fun and educational lesson:
