3rd Grade Math & 5th Grade Math

In 5th grade Math, we are studying geometry; specifically, polygons, angles, perimeter, area, and volume. My third grade Math students are learning about square numbers, which they found fascinating, by the way! Area and perimeter are next on my agenda. I had to laugh…our third graders had to take the CRT this year. They were relieved that it was so "easy". I was hoping that they would tell me that it was due to my remarkable teaching. No such luck! I was informed by my confident, yet never cocky third graders, "It was just an easy test, I guess."
